Hi there. I'm Jonathan. I created Voices From Here while searching for some way to use the skillset I have to at least have some impact (maybe?) on the current state of the world. I'm a technologist living in Somerville, MA. I'm a parent and a neighbor who wants to build something quiet but powerful: a space where people can speak freely, be heard with care, and connect across language, identity, and experience.
Voices From Here is a multilingual storytelling platform rooted in local communities. It gives people a way to reflect, share, and listen — anonymously — without judgment or algorithms. Each story begins with a simple suggested prompt and unfolds in the voice of someone nearby. Together, these voices form a living mosaic of experience that helps us understand ourselves and each other, one story at a time.
